July 5

A walk in the Park
I hope you all recovered from yesterday's shocking head line. Today I can assure you that we have business as usual. Hehe...

The Americans got lucky yesterday as the sun popped up just in time for their parade in Eastport. The blaring horns and sirens were well audible from across the bay.
But we had cancelled the trip for our own and took a walk in the (foggy) Roosevelt Park. One would think that with all that fog it would be useless to take a camera along. But I think I can proof that wrong. What fog does is distributing the light quite evenly. There are no shadows in fog, and colors are coming into their own. If you like outstanding photography you can see some by going to www.jimbrandenburg.com
Brandenburg, whose ancestors came from Idstedt, close to Schleswig,Germany, has just returned from a trip to Germany where he was visiting in the City of Schleswig. A friend of ours and bookstore owner, organized Brandenburgs exhibition.

Our photography cannot stand up against Mr. Brandenburg's but we can always try for the best shot.
